This one started by measuring up for the Deck landing which figured up to 8"x 9".
Next is to measure the width of the opening for the hatch and draw the round back with a compass.
Then rough cut it out on the bandsaw and sand the final shape on the Oscillating Spindle Sander
I made a tongue to support the ship from the bottom and since the ship has a trigger to operate the guns I need to cut a groove though it useing the Router Table.
Next is measuring for the back board. It measures up at 3"x 8"
After rounding off the corners on the front of the deck I made some brackets to support it. I contoured them to the fuselage of the ship added a block under the back of the deck to keep the ship from tilting forward then configured the screws to fit properly.
