 The Making of..

cantina

The goal on this project is to make a bar with duel configurations for a straight or "U" shape.

To start a strip of 3/4"MDF is cut down the middle on the Bandsaw.

The halves are Planed down to the thickness of the Bar section floor.

The Bar Top will have two levels. Strips are cut with a Circular Saw and sectioned on the Miter saw.

The halves are formed together. The Bottom just has a roundover on two corners which is done on the Beltsander. The top has an off-set to it which is cut out on the bandsaw before sanding smooth.

The edges are shaped on the Router Table.

The completed blanks are then cut on the Miter saw.

Risers are added to the floor and the Bases are Glued, Brad Nailed, and pressed in a Bench Clamp to dry.

After Hand Sanding a coat of Oil Base Primer is sprayed on.  Sponge Sanding blocks are used. Two coats are usually sufficient
